Farmers and growers may, themselves, without the help of a professional trader, import PPPs for their own use under the Parallel Trade Permit arrangements.

UK Farmers' own use  Source Products Currently Approved Under Parallel Import Arrangements For Plant Protection is not limitative within the pool of registered PPPs in the UK. The advantage to farmers and growers of seeing this list is that they can be confident that if the competent authorities (HSE-CRD) has verified the identity of the PPP they wish to import within the last 12 months this should speed up their application and help to discount the fee payable.

In any event farmers will be required to get a formal trade permit to import it, and they will need to make an application to the Chemicals Regulation Directorate with the details of the product to be imported and the UK reference product.
